Privacy Policy
The short version: MissionForge stores your course progress so your AI companion can guide you through missions. We collect your email address when you sign up. We never store your screen — even when our AI temporarily reads it to help you. We don't sell data or use advertising.
Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the product.
- Email address — collected at signup, used to identify your account and send essential product communications.
- Mission progress — which steps and clicks you've completed, so you can resume where you left off and your AI companion knows where you are in the course.
- Widget preferences — things like icon position and mode settings, stored locally in your browser.
Where data is stored
chrome.storage.local.Screen & page content
MissionForge's AI can optionally read your current screen to guide you to the right button or element. This is processed in real time to generate a response — we do not store, log, or transmit screenshots beyond the immediate AI request. No visual record of your screen is retained anywhere.
The extension injects a guidance overlay onto the websites your assigned missions target. The specific domains vary per mission. It does not read or interact with websites unrelated to your active mission
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your data to any third party
- We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels
- We do not track your browsing history or behavior outside the websites your assigned missions target
- We do not store screenshots or recordings of your screen
- We do not share your data with anyone except the service providers listed above (Supabase, Anthropic, ElevenLabs), solely to operate the product
Chrome extension permissions
- storage — saves your progress locally via
chrome.storage.local - activeTab — captures a screenshot of your current tab when AI guidance is triggered
- tabs — identifies the active tab to deliver guidance overlays
- alarms — keeps the background service worker alive during element picker sessions
- offscreen — plays step narration audio in a background document so guidance continues smoothly across page navigations
- host permissions — scoped to the websites your assigned missions target
Data deletion
You can clear locally stored data at any time from Chrome's extension settings page. To delete your account and all associated progress from our database, email us at andrew@missionforgehq.com and we'll process it promptly.
